Good Evening

Just so you all know in my last blog I wasn't trying to complain about being tired. I am very blessed to be apart of the work here and I have enjoyed coordinating the different events that are happening and those events that are going to happen. I'm pretty sure this is what I was called to do.

Today was a very good day as I was able to paint some of the rooms upstairs in our office. I look forward to finishing the painting this week!

Again, please pray that God will give me patience and allow me to show his mercy to those I come in contact with daily.

Hi Jon,
I don't know if you remember me. I'm the pastor at Faith in Oakville where you and Heidi visited a number of times before you went to Panama (I believe). Hope all is going well with you.
I just spent some time reading a few of your blogs. It sounds like you are staying VERY busy and enjoying your work. I wanted to check in with you and get your input on the Peru work that the Synod is trying to get into. We feel like we our mission field is supposed to be somewhere in Latin America. WE have been in Trinidad, but in relation to the Synod. Difference is theology have been a bit limiting there, although we have enjoyed a good relationship with TTUM (Trinidad and Tobago Urban Ministries). Our goal is to send regular teams to make a larger impact at a ministry site, while partnering with a missionary, church, or organization. I have talked also with Bruce at the Synod office as well and he mentioned the work was opening up in Peru. You have been a part of that work, but your schedule won't allow you to do much in the future (as Bruce told us). Just looking for your input as to what you think our congregation should be doing.
Blessings on your work!!
John Brunette (Pastor at Faith-Oakville)

Hi Jon, my most handsome son-in-law. I am so happy to see you are working your tail off and sleeping good. Nothing is more satisfying than going to bed with accomplishments you can SEE for a change. I laughed when you mentioned that Heidi isn't too thrilled about the loud birds in the morning. She has never been a morning person. :-) It doesn't mean that she isn't wonderful though. I'm adding that incase she reads this.
Tom and I returned from Missouri yesterday driving most of the night to get to the bank before closing. He leaves for Burma in the morning. It was miraculous that he obtained a VISA at the last minute. Our regional rep for Asia spoke this am; awesome. It was planned way before the hurricane. Did you know that the largest refugee area for Burmese is in Fort Wayne??? Anyway, pray for his safety. I'm a little worried this time due what we have been told about the security of the area. Love you so much and we are so proud of you. We will see you soon!!!!
